One Hope:
30 Daily Devotions for Overcoming Loneliness
Now available in English and Spanish!
This publication of North Carolina Baptist Aging Ministry was compiled by Dr. Mark Smith, senior consultant for family evangelism and discipleship with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Smith also serves on NCBAM’s One Hope task force.
Readers are encouraged to transform their loneliness into a one-on-one experience with the Father: the type Jesus enjoyed as He withdrew Himself from people and the demands of ministry to be alone with the Father and pray.
Authors from across North Carolina have provided a commentary for each day’s Scripture passage. “Reflection Questions” and “Action Steps” are included to challenge and encourage small steps with the Lord. Throughout the devotional, readers are encouraged to call the NCBAM Hope Line to talk about what they have read.
The devotional is mailed free of charge to interested Hope Line callers and to individuals using the Hope Line Friendly Call Service. Donations designated for mailing the books to Hope Line callers and Call Service recipients are greatly appreciated!
